This Privacy Policy explains how the Temple Recommend Reminder Program ("we," "us," or "our"), operated by Keaton Wall on behalf of the Sunset Hills First Ward, collects, uses, and protects information in connection with our text message (SMS) reminders. By taking part in the program you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

We collect only what is needed to send recommend renewal reminders:

Your name
Your mobile phone number
Your temple recommend expiration date and status

This information comes from official ward records kept by local leadership.

How we use your information

Your information is used only to send you reminder text messages when your temple recommend is approaching or has passed its expiration date, and to help you schedule a renewal appointment. We do not use it for advertising or any unrelated purpose.

Sharing of mobile information

We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number, SMS opt-in, or consent with any third party. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with anyone.

The only outside processing is with our messaging provider, Twilio, which transmits the messages on our behalf and is not permitted to use your information for any other purpose. We may disclose information only if required by law.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies. Recipients typically receive no more than a few messages per year, sent only as a temple recommend approaches or passes its expiration date.

Message and data rates

Message and data rates may apply. Any charges are billed by your mobile carrier under your own plan, and we have no control over them.

Opting out and getting help

Data security and retention

Program data is stored privately, and access is limited to authorized ward leadership. We keep information only as long as needed to run the reminder program.
